Santo Domingo. Lo que fue presentado en su momento como un salto tecnológico en la formación de conductores en República Dominicana, hoy da un giro inesperado.
El Instituto Nacional de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Intrant) anunció la eliminación del uso obligatorio de simuladores para obtener la licencia de conducir y el regreso al examen práctico tradicional con vehículo real.
Los simuladores, implementados como parte de un proceso de modernización, buscaban evaluar reflejos, toma de decisiones y manejo en escenarios de riesgo sin exponer al aspirante a peligros reales. Sin embargo, a partir de ahora, los solicitantes deberán realizar nuevamente la prueba práctica convencional para poder obtener su licencia.
¿Avance o retroceso?
Para algunos sectores, el cambio representa una medida más realista y tangible, ya que el aspirante demuestra directamente sus habilidades en la vía.
Para otros, significa un paso atrás en el proceso de modernización del sistema de tránsito dominicano.
El Intrant también informó que trabaja en la implementación de la licencia digital y en un sistema de licencia por puntos, lo que indica que, aunque se abandona una herramienta tecnológica, el proceso de transformación institucional continúa en otras áreas.
